I've always been clear on one thing.
My career aspirations may have started as doctor or lawyer, then evolved to chemist or marine biologist in college. I may have plied my talents as a project manager, a database programmer, a website manager. I've pursued many hobbies and interest. But one thing is constant.
I am a writer.
For five years as a journalist and more than I care to count as a communications team lead, I've discovered and retold stories. I've dabbled in classes, wrote truth as fiction in lieu of journaling, and participated in NaNoWriMo. (Won twice) I wanted to share some of this work.
The problem is, no one can say Deacle.
Thus Adrienne Lee was born - a combination of my middle name and my mother's. And here I share those hours of writing - mostly short stories, flash fiction, and blog style posts. I'm still editing novel number 2, working title Trips of a Lifetime. You may see those characters pop up here, mix into other storylines, or do whatever enters my head today. It may be this alternate world building that attracts me most to writing.
Thoughts, conjectures, plots, characterizations etc. are all mine and do not reflect positions of my day job.
